NickStyler respects the rights of creators. Most of what appears on the site is generated text — Unicode letters and symbols arranged by our styler — together with nicknames that visitors choose to share. If you believe something on nickstyler.com uses your copyrighted work without permission, you can ask us to remove it under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).
How to send a notice
Email [email protected] with the subject line “DMCA notice” and include:
- The exact page link, and the nickname, image or passage you want removed.
- A description of the original work and where it was first published.
- Your name and a way to reach you.
- A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised by you, your agent or the law.
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
What happens next
We review complete notices and remove or disable the material when the claim holds up. Incomplete notices may be returned with a request for the missing details. Single Unicode characters, symbols and short names are generally not protected by copyright on their own, so notices about them alone may be declined with an explanation.
Counter-notice
If your shared nickname was removed and you believe that was a mistake, reply to the same address with the removed nickname, the page it was on, and a statement under penalty of perjury that it was removed by mistake. Please do not send notices about names that simply look similar to yours: identical nicknames are common because many people style the same name.
Misleading or abusive notices may be ignored. For anything that is not a copyright matter, use our contact page.
