A nickname style is your name rewritten with Unicode characters: look-alike letters such as 𝐁𝐨𝐥𝐝 or ꜱᴍᴀʟʟ ᴄᴀᴘꜱ, symbols such as ꧁ ꧂ placed around it, and sometimes special spacing. NickStyler turns any name into 100 letter sets plus framed versions, and one tap copies the one you like into Free Fire, PUBG Mobile, Instagram or any other app.

How to make a nickname style with NickStyler
Type a name in the box at the top, press Generate and tap any card to copy it. The whole process takes a few seconds and needs no account.
- Type the name. The box takes up to 40 characters. Letters A–Z are restyled, and many sets restyle digits too; letters from other scripts, such as Hindi, are kept as they are.
- Pick a group. Results are sorted into Recommended, For Free Fire, For BGMI and PUBG, For boys, For girls, With hearts, Cute and aesthetic, King and queen, For TikTok and Instagram, Dark and sad and Mixed letters. All styles lists all 100 letter sets side by side.
- Decorate if you want. Open Decorate to choose your own symbol for the left side, the right side and the gap between words.
- Set a length. The length chips (≤ 12 up to ≤ 50) dim every style that is longer than the limit you choose, so you can match the name field you are filling in.
- Tap to copy. The styled name goes to your clipboard. Paste it into the game or app and save.
- Check the saved name. If it came back as plain letters, empty boxes or was refused, pick a style from a different letter set. The sections below explain why that happens.

Letter sets, symbols and spacing: what a nickname style is made of
Every nickname style combines up to three parts. None of them is a font: each is a separate Unicode character, which is why the style survives copy and paste into apps that have no font menu.

Because the letters are different characters, a styled name is harder to search for and can be read out letter by letter — or skipped — by screen readers. Keep your plain name somewhere on the profile, such as the username.
Where you can paste a nickname style
Most apps have two name fields: a display name that people see, and a username or handle that has to be unique. Styled letters belong in the display name; usernames accept only a short list of plain characters. The table links each platform’s own rule, checked in September 2026.

Games rarely publish which characters their name filter accepts, and the filter can change with an update. Try the style on the rename screen before you spend anything on a rename, and pick another letter set if it is refused.
Which letter sets turn back into plain letters
A styled name turns plain after saving when the app applies NFKC normalization, a Unicode rule (Unicode Standard Annex #15) that replaces “compatibility” characters such as bold, script, circled and full-width letters with ordinary ones. Apps use it to stop look-alike names and to make search work.
To see which styles are affected, we took the name “Rayan”, generated all 100 letter sets in NickStyler and ran every result through NFKC with ICU 73.2 on 13 September 2026. 16 sets flattened to plain letters, 2 changed partly and 82 were unchanged.

“Unchanged by NFKC” is not a promise that every app keeps the style — some filters strip combining marks or block whole scripts for other reasons. It does tell you where to look first: if an app keeps saving your name in plain letters, move away from the 16 sets above and try small caps, currency, cute letters or fat letters.
Two sets behave in ways that surprise people. Bracket letters become three characters each after NFKC, so a 5-letter name grows to 15. Mixture uses regional-indicator letters, and pairs of them display as country flags on many phones: 🇷🇦 in “Rayan” shows as the flag of Rwanda.
Why styled names use up length limits faster
A styled name can be refused as “too long” even when it looks short, because many apps count UTF-16 code units, not visible letters. Letters outside Unicode’s Basic Multilingual Plane, including every mathematical letter set, take two units each.
In the same test of 100 letter sets on “Rayan”, only 20 sets kept the name at 5 units. 56 sets doubled it to 10, 2 used 9, 15 used 15, 6 used 20 and one heavily decorated set (Cage) used 85.

Symbols add to the count too. ꧁, ༒, 亗, ★ and 彡 are one unit each; 𓆩 and the emoji 🎀 are two; ❤️ is two because it carries a hidden colour selector. When a field keeps saying the name is too long, drop the frame on one side or switch to small caps before shortening the name itself.
Blank and invisible spacing in nicknames
Blank characters let you separate words without a normal space, or make a name look empty. They do not all survive saving: NFKC turns some of them into ordinary spaces, which a name field may then trim away.

Games do not always follow NFKC. For Free Fire, our team’s check found the opposite of many older guides: the no-break space (U+00A0) works in the name field, while the Hangul filler (U+3164) has been blocked since the OB43 update. For Instagram and TikTok display names, one frame symbol on each side usually reads better than a long row of emoji, and it leaves room under the length limit. Nickname style FAQ
Is NickStyler free, and does it keep the name I type?
NickStyler is free and needs no account. The name you type is sent to our server to build the styles, and the site counts how often names are styled and how often nicknames are copied, which powers the leaderboard. Details are in the privacy policy.
Why does my nickname style show empty boxes?
Empty boxes mean the phone or computer showing the name has no font containing that character. The name itself is still correct and displays normally on devices that have the font. If most of your friends see boxes, choose a style made from more common characters, such as small caps or circled letters.
Can I use a nickname style as my username?
Usually not. Instagram, TikTok and Discord usernames accept only plain letters, numbers and a few punctuation marks. Put the styled version in the display name, profile name or server nickname instead.
Why did my nickname save as normal letters?
The app most likely normalized it with NFKC, which turns bold, italic, script, circled and full-width letters back into plain ones. In our test of 100 letter sets, small caps, currency, cute letters and fat letters were not changed.
Why do numbers jump to the wrong side of my Arabic or Urdu name?
Right-to-left text and numbers are ordered by the Unicode bidirectional algorithm, so a digit typed after an Arabic name can appear before it. Our guide to fixing an Arabic name shown in the wrong order has a tool that inserts the invisible mark that fixes it.
