A BGMI nickname style is a player name for Battlegrounds Mobile India, Krafton’s Indian release of the PUBG Mobile battle royale, written with Unicode letter sets and symbols instead of plain letters. The styler above builds one from any name — the same styler that makes Free Fire names — and its “For BGMI and PUBG” tab adds the frames BGMI players use most, such as 么, 〆 and 乂.

How long a styled BGMI name really is (tested 09/2026)

A styled name can look five letters long and still count as ten. Letters from Unicode’s mathematical sets use two UTF-16 units each, while small caps, Japanese-look and currency letters use one. We styled “Marco” in the eight letter sets of the BGMI tab on 13 September 2026 and counted each one, alone and inside a 【】 frame:

Plain “Marco” is 5 units. If the rename box stops you early, switch from Art or Sans bold to small caps or Japan-style letters and the same look costs half the length. We found no Krafton documentation on how the game stores names, so treat the “After NFKC” column as a warning sign rather than a promise; every letter set and its normalization result is listed in our font style guide. BGMI name symbols: which ones stay as typed

Most BGMI frames are CJK or Tibetan characters that take one unit and survive normalization, but a few popular marks are compatibility characters that quietly turn into ordinary text. ᴮᴼˢˢ becomes “BOss”, ™ becomes “TM” and ① becomes “1” under NFKC. Measured on 13 September 2026:

If you want a “boss” tag that cannot change, use a frame such as 么 or 乂 and put the word in small caps. Free Fire players use a different set of frames; the Free Fire symbol length table covers ꧁, 亗 and emoji.

BGMI clan tags and clan names

A clan looks organised when the short tag and the full clan name share one letter set. Pick the set first, then write both with it; members can then add the tag to their own names without mixing styles.

Clan names go through the game’s own checks, and names judged offensive can be refused or reset, so keep the word itself clean — styled letters do not hide it.

BGMI Rename Card rules (Krafton Help Center, 09/2026)

Changing your BGMI name uses a Rename Card. Krafton’s BGMI Help Center, checked on 13 September 2026, says the Lv. 3 and Lv. 10 Progress Missions give a Rename Card for free, other missions and events may reward one, and it can be bought under Shop → Treasures. You can change your nickname once per day, and the card is used up by the change. The article lists no price, so check the Shop rather than a number on a website.

Do BGMI and PUBG Mobile names work the same way?

The styled text works the same in both, because both display Unicode names, so every style on this page can be pasted into either game. They are separate games with separate accounts, though: renaming in BGMI does not change a PUBG Mobile name, and each needs its own rename.

Why does my BGMI name show boxes to teammates?

A teammate sees a box when their phone has no font for one of your characters. Tibetan marks such as ࿐ and rare scripts are the usual cause; CJK frames like 么 and 【】 display on far more devices.

Can I use a blank or invisible BGMI name?

We have no dated Krafton source on which blank characters BGMI accepts, so we do not list one. Test any blank character in the rename preview before using a Rename Card on it.

How do I make a stylish BGMI name for a girl?
